Although the global war on terrorism officially began on September 11th, Israel has been fighting this war since her conception. The tragedy of 9-11 statistically killed one in every 97,000 Americans. During a similar time frame, Israel has suffered the loss of one in every 7,000 Israelis.

As an organization in the land, we witness the effects of terrorism that never make it to the headlines. While the media quickly report the number of injuries, the severity of their injuries is often ignored. For example, many of these injuries range from missing limbs to shrapnel left within their bodies. Rehabilitation can take years and the emotional scars can last a lifetime.
