Pastor Chuck Smith 1927-2013

We at FZS join the many thousands from around the world who grieve the loss of our dear brother and pastor, Chuck Smith who died after a battle with lung cancer at the age of 86 . We would also send our sincere condolences to the entire Smith family. Pastor Chuck was used by the Lord to help establish both For Zion’s Sake Ministries and Calvary Chapel Jerusalem. Pastor Chuck personally dedicated our fellowship while he and the board of Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa approved a sizable loan for us to purchase the warehouse facility in Jerusalem. More than that though, Pastor Chuck remained a faithful man of God who finished his race well and left an enduring example to those of us who knew and loved him…

The life and ministry of Pastor Chuck Smith touched many far beyond his home in Southern California. For this reason, Calvary Chapel of Costa Mesa would like to invite you to his tribute at the Honda Center in So. Calif. If you cannot personally attend, please watch live on this website or find a facility near you simulcasting the event on Sunday, Oct 27 beginning at 5:00pm (PST).

We have once again hosted another group of Holocaust Survivors at Haus Schonegg from October 7-15. It was a very blessed week of fun and fellowship together as we came to know and love these survivors in a more intimate way during our time together. During the day we would go on walks and visit different cities and points of interest. In the evenings, usually after dinner, we had devotional times with several opportunities to share the love of Yeshua with them. We are already looking forward to our next group of survivors in the near future…

Our clothing distribution continues in full swing amongst the needy in Israel and we have the privilege of blessings many who come to us each week to receive clothing, financial assistance, food coupons and other Humanitarian Aid we distribute. During these times of direct contact, we are presented with many opportunities to share the love of Yeshua with those who come to us for assistance. In fact, most of the people in our fellowship are direct fruit of our distribution programs…

Would you please pray about financially supporting the ministry outreach of FZS if you do not do so already. We truly need more resources now more than ever to keep up with the amount of needy people who come to us seeking help in these challenging times of global financial uncertainty…

Thank you for standing with us in blessing the lost Sheep of the House of Israel…

With His love,

Bradley and FZS staff
