Ministry Report From Jerusalem January

Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass. Brethren, pray for us… (I Thes. 5:24)

Dear Praying Friends of FZS,

We wanted to share with you a quick overview of the many blessings of 2014 here at For Zion’s Sake Ministries that we have experienced in reaching out to the poor and needy, both Jew and Arab, here in Israel and wherever disaster strikes globally. Praise The Lord we received and distributed a total of 4 shipping containers full of humanitarian aid for the needy. The total value was estimated at over $1,621,091 according to our CPA in Jerusalem. Our 2014 FZS Outreaches included:

• Distribution of clothing and goods for the needy went to more than 5’000 men, women and children last year.

• Our target groups included Holocaust Survivors/ Wounded Soldiers/Single Moms/ Lone Soldiers/Disaster Victims/Terror Victims, all who received aid in the form of finances, food, clothing, medical assistance and building materials.

We also support and supply many other Humanitarian Organizations with aid including; The Bedouin Community, Christ Church Jerusalem, Even Israel Fellowship, Beit Halel, Beit haYeshua Drug Rehab Center, Crisis Center Malhaseh, Arab Christian Alliance, Shevet Achim, Holocaust Survivor Association, Mt Olives Arab Community, Hiam Congregation Tel Aviv, Bruchim Habaim, Golan Heights, Bait Halel Ashdod, Ethiopian Community.

Our FZS congregation in Jerusalem also participates in outreach by inviting those who come to our warehouse for assistance to celebrate the Biblical Feasts with us at our Friday evening service. Here we are able to introduce Yeshua as the Jewish Messiah to many Jewish Olim. We also are able to share our witness with Arabs whom we assist through aid distribution in East Jerusalem.

How thankful we are to you who have stood with us in prayer and support which has enabled us to give so much to the poor and needy in His name! Thank you again very much!

Our work with Holocaust Survivors continue with home visits and caring for the elderly “shut-ins” who are no longer able to care for themselves. This outreach is so dear to our hearts as we give our love to the last living survivors of the concentration camps and ghettos…

PLEASE REMEMBER… A Holocaust Survivor dies every 45 minutes. More than a thousand Holocaust survivors pass away each month. Now, the average age of those who live among us (many of them in extreme poverty) is 85 years of age.

Also, more than a quarter — 50,000 — of some 193,000 Holocaust survivors in Israel live below the poverty line and 60% experience financial hardship according to figures recently published by the Foundation for the Benefit of Holocaust Victims here in Israel.

This is why FZS is standing with and assisting those Holocaust Survivors who still remain and are in need!

And the good news is that we have 2 more Humanitarian Aid containers ready and waiting to be shipped to us both in Jerusalem and the Philippines filled with clothing and building materials. We are now trusting the Lord for the needed finances to cover all shipping and port costs for transport to set sail as soon as possible…

Kids like these need our love and help! We are also praying about opening a small office in Cebu, Philippines, in order to facilitate the ongoing humanitarian relief efforts on the ground as we continue to reach out to those who are still suffering from the effects of Typhoon Yolanda. We are also involved in assisting Island Kids Orphanage which rescues underprivileged children who are forced to scavenge in the dump for their existence. This ministry not only feeds these unwanted children but they also provide educational opportunities in order to break the cycle of poverty… http://www.islandkids.ch/index.php/en/about-us.html

Thank you for your faithful support to FZS Ministries in 2014. Even in these financially challenging times, let us continue together to reach out with the love of Yeshua in Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria and the uttermost parts of the Earth more than ever in 2015!!!

In Yeshua’s love,
