Ministry Report August 2021 – “If My People…”

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chr. 7:14)

These words of Lyn Wood pretty well sum up my feelings on current events and all the evil we see rapidly unfolding before our eyes as never before… Truly our only hope is in the LORD!

For those of us who have not chosen to bury our heads in the sand, we look around and see our nation going to hell.

Are you surprised? Where else would the enemy want to take us?

So we should not be surprised. Our nation has turned its back on God. We The People need to realize that only God can save us and our nation.

God created We The People. God created America. Only God can save us and our nation.

When We The People of America turn back to God, repent of our sins, seek forgiveness, and once again believe in the resurrected Jesus as the Son of God and our Lord and Savior, then and only then will God save us from the enemy.

We pray that our sleeping fellow citizens wake up and get their heads out of the sand.

The choice belongs to We The People. I pray that We The People choose wisely.

FZS News and Update

How thankful we are for the new shipment of aid that has arrived from Holland to fill our distribution center’s shelves once again for the new immigrants! It’s amazing that even in these turbulent times, the Lord is so good and faithful to keep our aid supply lines open – truly, our cup runneth over! We also want to thank those immigrant brothers who faithfully come to help us unload all of the boxes. They enjoy a pizza feast afterwards and first priority during our distribution times.

Olim in Jerusalem Receiving Aid from the New Shipment

When it is finally time to open and sort the clothing in the boxes, it is always a surprise to see whether the quality of the used clothing is acceptable and good enough for distribution. Sadly, we have had instances when we had to throw away clothing because of the unacceptable condition in which it was sent, however, thankfully this is rare… This time we were not at all disappointed! Not only did the boxes contain brand new clothing with the tags still on them, we also received new Nike sport shoes that are in fashion and are currently being sold in stores at high prices. Needless to say, the new immigrants were very, very happy to receive these blessings in Yeshua’s name!

Update from Myanmar

Pastor Elisha burying the dead from civil unrest

Dear Bradley,

Because of the civil war, many people have lost their lives in Myanmar. Only this last month, 270 were buried in the Christian Cemetery in Kalay, including more of our relatives and Habakkuk’s – my best friend and ministry partner – own brother and sister.

Whereas in Yangon, by God’s grace, we could continue encouraging people who are ready to die, to preach the Gospel always, to be a blessing for others and ready for Christ’s coming.

Since the Mindat PDF and Military Junta announced a two-week ceasefire, they could return back to their own villages. We heared that some NGO food supplies came to Mindat, but Andrew and his brother informed us that they can’t get any food supplies because the people who are working with the Junta took over and distribute it only to those who are on their side and those who are still in the refugee camps.

Thank you for all that you have done – it means so much for Myanmar’s ministry!

In closing, we want to wish all of you who faithfully pray and support For Zion’s Sake Ministries, a very Happy New Year (Shana Tova 5782) and Yom Truah (Feast of Trumpets) – the blowing of the shofar, to call the Messiah, Yeshua to return and redeem us! Even so, come quickly Lord Yeshua.

For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God (I Thess. 4:16)

If you haven’t in a while, would you please consider making a financial contribution today to help us continue the work of the Lord here in Jerusalem and other war-torn areas amongst the needy? With the current economic crisis worsening, we have sadly received news from some of our regular supporters that they can no longer afford to send help. Certainly these are difficult times for all of us! So we keep in our hearts the fact that the Lord has so graciously and faithfully sustained us for almost 30 years, and we know He will continue to do so!

Blessings in Yeshua as we wait for His return!
