FZS Update – Summer 2026

Staying the Course, Fulfilling our Calling

Then Yeshua said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.” (John 8:31) (John 8:31)

Dear Friends of Israel and For Zion’s Sake,

We are blessed to be able to experience the Lord’s guiding hands at FZS and continue to witness His provisions throughout the various projects we’re involved in during this season! The first half of this calendar year has been filled with more uncertainty than usual due to the prolonged tension with with Iran and Lebanon and expectancy of further escalations at any given moment, but our God is gracious and faithful.

We at For Zion’s Sake Ministry, in Israel, US, and Europe continue steadfastly in our calling after 26 years now in providing Humanitarian Aid for new immigrants, terror victims, wounded IDF soldiers, and Holocaust Survivors both in Israel and abroad. We have established a number of outreach programs and humanitarian projects designed especially to bless the poor and needy amongst the Jewish people in Yeshua’s name and multiple requests continue to flood in on a daily basis.

In this summer update, we would like to share with you some recent events at FZS as we continue to serve and comfort Holocaust Survivors and new immigrants in Israel and have recently hosted our 10th group of wounded Israelis for a time of rest and rehabilitation. We are so privileged and very grateful for all these opportunities to share the Lord’s blessings, joy, peace, and love!

Your faithful prayers and support are so vital for us to be able to continue our labor of love as we seek to bless the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel, especially in these last days when Antisemitism is once again rising to dangerous levels globally! For instance, Israel’s Foreign Ministry has identified a disturbing phenomenon it claims was virtually unknown on this scale in previous years: Israeli travelers reported assaults, spitting, abuse, denied service and expulsions from hotels and restaurants, prompting unprecedented Foreign Ministry assistance as officials warn that people are increasingly targeted over visible Jewish identity.

Visiting with Holocaust Survivors

FZS Gathering with Holocaust Survivors

Holocaust Survivors have been at the front of our list of those we desire to bless and support in any way possible. As the years since WWII are rapidly passing by, the number of Survivors is also quickly diminishing and that is why our hearts are to bless these last living witnesses now while we still have a chance to show them the love and care they so richly deserve.

We continue to keep in touch, visit, and meet with Holocaust Survivors in Israel. Recently, we have been requested to help a group of Holocaust Survivors in Jerusalem in a more leading and active role, including coordination of events, administrative tasks, and general representation of their organization. The years are sadly visibly taking a toll on their health and we are honored to be here for them for whatever time they have left with us.

FZS Blesses Holocaust Survivors
with French Believers

We recently organized a gathering with Holocaust Survivors and a group of French volunteers who traveled all the way just to bless Israel. The French Believers prepared freshly-made crepes onsite, sang songs in Hebrew, French and Russian, and gave personal gifts to each Survivor who participated. The Holocaust Survivors on their end were so excited to meet new visitors from abroad – they kept busy by preparing a colorful spread with freshly cut fruit, cherry dumplings, and other refreshments and also sang some songs, even in Yiddish! It was indeed a blessed and sweet time of fellowship together – cross-cultural, multi-lingual, colorful, vibrant, very touching, filled with beautiful tunes, dances, mutual gratitude, many warm embraces, Love, Joy, and Peace!

Hosting More Wounded IDF Soldiers

Wounded IDF Soldiers, who have bravely fought Israel’s battles and paid the price with their bodies have also become an important priority of FZS outreach. By God’s grace, we are able to comfort and bring Hope to these young men through our project, “Bridges of Blessings.” During the past 2 years, we have sponsored 10 groups of wounded IDF soldiers in Europe for rest and rehabilitation. It is during these intimate times we are able to show the love of Yeshua as they literally become part of our family. Also, because of this project, we have developed a wonderful working relationship with the Israeli Embassy, ELAL Airlines and security staff on both ends. There is still a long list of soldiers hoping to be chosen for future visits…
Back in December 2025, we set out to visit with wounded Israelis, some of which are still hospitalized after their injuries sustained in battle. One of the hospital buildings includes an orthopedic department, where many of the patients have extensive nerve damage due to shrapnel, lost or amputated limbs. As we gathered together with a group of Hawaiian Believers, we engaged in conversations and sang songs. It was very special for us to spend time with these patients, and we felt privileged and blessed to be able to bring a little comfort and joy to their lives in between treatments and recovery. One of these young men, Yochai (right), has since undergone 40! surgeries and we were blessed to finally host him last month!

Visiting with Wounded Soldiers in Hospital
For the first time, the last group we hosted included a wheelchair-bound participant and it was truly a great blessing for the whole team, despite the challenges of stairs and limited accessibility at some sites! To see the happiness and joy these young, wounded heroes experienced with us was unforgettable. We thank God for the sweet fellowship we had with one another as we sought to bring Yeshua into every blessing that was shared! Please continue to pray for all the participants and their brothers in arms that they might receive the spiritual and physical healing they need in Yeshua’s name.

Exciting activities in breath-taking nature!

Next Group and Future Retreat

The circle is growing as we continue to keep in touch with those we have hosted for a week of restoration in Europe, while also meeting more and more individuals in Israel, who have experienced so much hardship, tragedy, and loss, and are still in an ongoing battle to improve their health. One of our goals is for our time together with these young men is to also serve as a reminder for them that their life is not over despite what has happened to them and all the challenges they are still experiencing, while encouraging them that they are not alone and there are people who truly care and love them.Lord willing, we will be hosting our next group next month and we ask that you please pray for the Lord’s blessing for the trip, especially given the once again escalating security situation in the Middle East.

Additionally, FZS is partnering with a faith-based center in the north of Israel to provide a 2-day retreat for these young men this fall. Some of them know each other from their military service, hospitalization, or have traveled together in the same group, while other will meet for the first time. We hope this will further encourage each of them individually in their ongoing recovery process and strengthen their bonds with one another. Please keep this project in your prayers!

FZS Jerusalem Distribution Center

Our FZS Jerusalem Distribution Center continues to welcome new immigrants from cities all over Israel, blessing many Olim families, single parents, IDF soldiers, and Holocaust Survivors with brand-new clothing, shoes, and food. We have experienced an increase in new arrivals from Europe and South America and marvel as Jews are returning home from all the corners of the Earth!

We stand in awe and gratefulness for all the Lord’s mighty works and blessings, enabling us at FZS to reach out to hundreds in need of support and comfort in Israel and around the globe in Yeshua’s Name and are so thankful for your faithful support and fervent prayers!

Prayer Requests:

  • Please pray for the once-again escalating situation in the Middle East.
  • As Antisemitism continues to skyrocket globally, please also pray for protection and wisdom in all decisions. Many who were once staunch and unmovable supporters of Israel are now questioning their stance due to the tsunami of antisemitic/anti-Zionist media and misinformation on social media platforms, which is also creeping into the church.
  • We will be hosting our next group of wounded soldiers in August. We appreciate your prayers for openness and protection.
  • The supplies at our distribution center in Jerusalem are running low… Please pray for the Lord’s provision so that we may continue to receive good things to give.
  • Pray for those who have been affected by trauma of war and conflict, that they might find comfort.

Thank you all for your continued faithful prayers and support over the years to For Zion’s Sake and all the outreaches we are involved in! May Yeshua’s Light continue to shine upon and through you, and may His Love, Joy and Peace fill your every-day as you walk with Him!

For Zion’s Sake is a US-Israeli 501c3, non-profit humanitarian aid organization – established and dedicated to assisting the needs of newly arriving immigrants, Olim, home to Israel. For most Olim, starting life over in the Holy Land is both emotionally, socially, as well as economically overwhelming. Russian-speaking Jews have been the largest source of immigration with now over 1 million living in Israel and are a significant part of those who come to us for aid, along with many more from other countries who have returned home to Israel.
FZS was established to help meet the practical and spiritual needs of the returning remnant, and as the Lord leads and provides, we continue to minister to the ever-growing requirements that Israelis are experiencing as well as fulfilling our vision to assist in the guarantee of basic human rights to all people, joining others in efforts to prevent poverty around the world. Our hearts are also to bring global Humanitarian Aid relief after catastrophic events such as earthquakes, tsunamis, and terror attacks wherever they may occur as “First Responders”.
We wish you all a very blessed summer!
Shalom and Blessings,

For Zion’s Sake Staff
